The newly established Armenian community, by Armenians who arrived in the ‘90s as economic refugees from former Soviet Armenia and settled in the area, was granted the use of St. Nicholas church, thanks to the understanding and deep Christian compassion of His Εminence Chrysostomos, Prelate of Messinia. The church was awarded with a special ecclesiastical contract, signed on September 25, 2018, between the Prelacy of Messinia and the Prelacy of the Armenians of Greece, for a period of 20 years.
