On the occasion of his visit to the Armenian community of Serres, on Thursday, October 30, 2025, the Bishop of the Armenians of Greece, Sahag Yemishyan, accompanied by the parish priest of the Church of Thessaloniki “Holy Theotokos,” Archimandrite Yegia Malchasyan, the president of the Serres Community Council, Mr. Vazken Haroutiounian, and the vice-president of the Thessaloniki Community Council, Mr. Aram Eskijian, visited Metropolitan Theologos of Serres.
The main topic of the meeting was the possibilities of offering support to the Armenian community of Serres.
Metropolitan Theologos in his speech, presented to His Eminence various aspects of the ecclesiastical life of Serres and the challenges that accompany it. In turn His Eminence outlined in general terms, the situation of the Armenian communities of the Diocese of Greece, with particular reference to the community of Serres.
After a cordial conversation, gifts were exchanged, and then the Metropolitan guided His Eminence through the chapel of the Metropolis and the surrounding premises.
